First Blog Post!!

Hi all!

My name is Abbey Desmond Beine.  I am currently in the UWM MACSTEP program to earn my teaching certificate in Broadfield Science with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry.  My main goal as a teacher is to inspire students to believe in themselves and give them the tools to follow their dreams.  Not everyone is born to be a scientist, but every one can benefit from the critical skills taught in the science classroom.

Now a little about me: I love to spend my time with my family and my adorable dog.  I have two younger siblings: my sister loves to sing and her wittiness keeps you on your toes and my brother's quirkiness never leaves me with a dull moment.  When I am not with them I am either working out, curled up with a book, or hanging with friends.  I have completed two half-marathons and am debating if the "half craziness" is going to wear on me and I will run a full one.  Which would meaning I am fully crazy 😜.
